Summary/Abstract |
The Body Needs series reveals why your body needs a balanced diet to be healthy. It explains how much of each type of nutrient you need to eat every day and in which foods those nutrients can be found. The importance of water and fiber in the diet are also discussed. The series looks at the way our bodies digest and store food and how the excess is released as waste. It also investigates the different health problems and diseases that may occur when our bodies either have too much or too little of certain types of food.
