| Summary/Abstract |
This story, about a very hungry, lazy lion who is outsmarted by his prey, is based on an ancient East Indian fable. This theme appears in traditional storytelling throughout India and in other countries as well. The illustrations are adapted from the Warli style of painting from Western India, and the images were silk-screened by hand onto paper made from rice husks and recycled fibres.
