King Sneferu's two main accomplishments were showing the Egyptians how to build pyramids and establishing Egypt as a great international power. A deeply loving and compassionate man, Sneferu possessed both genius and incredible determination. These characteristics become evident as we trace Sneferu's struggles to build pyramids and the many great accomplishments that resulted when he passed the knowledge of this craft onto his sons - Khufu was responsible for the Great Pyramid at Giza. We visit pyramid sites never before filmed and investigate the burial of Sneferu's wife, Hetepheres, one of the great archaeological mysteries of all time.
