| Summary/Abstract |
Spot, that ever-popular brown-and-yellow puppy, is back, and his parents have a surprise for him: a baby sister named Susie. Soon after Susie's arrival, Helen (a blue hippo) and Tom (a green alligator) arrive and want to play with Spot and Susie. But Susie runs off with Spot's new bone and disappears. Tom, Helen and Spot search all over for her, and eventually find her under the table, sound asleep. Just when the three settle down to read a book, Susie wakes up and is ready to play again. The introduction of Susie further extends Spot's close-knit community, and siblings will easily identify with the arrival of a new family member.
