Summary/Abstract |
Degradation of values translates into degradation of nature. In a corrupt system, people lose respect for values. With large scale corruption in the natural resource management, people lose respect for nature. The film takes viewers to look at irrational policies (not based on scientific understanding, but on vested interests) in management of rivers, floods, forests, and urban planning; and highlights the results of such distorted practices. Includes flooding of the Kosi River, sandalwood smuggling, illegal taxation (Gujjars of Himalaya), Petrol v/s diesel, Anna Hazare fights corruption, discusses right to recall political representatives in a democracy and the issues of corruption in democratic India.

Summary/Abstract |
Imagine if you could condense all 3.5 billion years of life on Earth into just one hour. If you did, the dinosaurs wouldn't show up until 56 minutes into the hour and they'd be gone three minutes later. Modern humans (the ones we are related to) would amble into view at the very end of the hour, with just 0.2 seconds to spare. This amazing title introduces readers to things that are simply too big to grasp. By scaling them down, the author bring them into focus. Besides being a useful too to engineers and architects, scale is an important part of numeracy. Here big ideas and issues are scaled down into something more meaningful.
