| Summary/Abstract |
Pirindicuela was very proud of being the most beautiful dragonfly in the whole river, having obtained the title of Miss Dragonfly in the annual contest.
He flew and flew over the river, showing all his precious silver-blue wings with green spots that had been admired by the jurors. He thought he was the best in everything, but his encounter with a gnome will change his mind and learn to value the other animals in the river.
The feeling of pride is an emotional food that favors motivation and enthusiasm, but it can also become excessive self-esteem or arrogance, which seeks the attention and recognition of others with consequent contempt. In this story we can help children to better understand the nuances of pride and, above all, to respect others, because each one is different and has his own talents and qualities.
