Agathe, Clara's classmate, recounts the story. Clara is allergic to almonds. Her classmate gets homemade chocolate chip cookies. Clara eats the cookie and immediately gets a reaction and she gets itchy all over. Her teacher sends her to the school clinic to get an injection and the children inquire as to what happened to Clara. The teacher explains to them what an allergy is what are the different things that can cause an allergy. Each child then comes up with an example of things that they are allergic to, and so understand what Clara goes through.
