Note | Joseph Stalin was born in 1878 and died in 1953. People remembered him as a cruel guy because he was a Dictator. He was known as the dictator of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics from 1929 to 1953. Under Stalin commanding, the Soviet Union was transformed from a peasant society into an industrial and military superpower. Joseph wasn’t born in a good way, he was born in poverty then became involved in revolutionary politics. But not just that, he also participated in criminal activities at a young age. After Joseph’s friend Vladimir Lenin died Joseph got mad that he put a lot of people in labor camps. With all of those cruel activities, Stalin aligned with the United States and Britain World War II from 1939 to 1945. But after the war, it also led to another war called the Cold War. After Stalin’s death, the Soviets initiated a de-Stalinization process. |
