Description64p   Green Spine
NoteIncludes four humorous verse fantasies: The Sneetches, The Zax, The Many Daves, and What was I Scared of? Consists of four stories:
In The Sneetches, a "fix-it-up chappie" named Sylvester McMonkey McBean appears, he offers the Sneetches without stars a chance to have them by going through his Star-On machine because the star bellied sneetches are being prejudiced towards the plain bellied sneetches. Shows the reader that racism is not the way to go..tolerance and acceptance is what is important.
In The Zax, a North-going Zax and a South-going Zax meet face to face in the Prairie of Prax. They refuse to move out of the way for one another and end up staying there until a highway is built. Teaches the value of compromise.
In Too Many Daves, a mother, Mrs. McCave, named all 23 of her sons Dave and has trouble telling them apart.
What Was I Scared Of? is the tale of a character who repeatedly meets up with an empty pair of pale-green pants and finally has to learn to accept them. Its a story about overcoming fears.
